Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument

A Certified Flight Instructor enhances their professional skills by obtaining specific privileges that allow them to provide specialized training to students in instrument flight rules (IFR) environments. These privileges not only enhance the instructor's personal qualifications but also contribute to safer flying standards in the aviation community

These privileges include: Instrument Flight and Ground Training,  Instrument Proficiency Check, Commercial Instrument Flight Training.

The Requirements

  • Hold a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate

  • Hold at least a Third-Class FAA Medical

  • Received Training from an Authorized Instructor

  • Flight Instructor Instrument Airplane Knowledge Test

  • Checkride (Oral + Practical)

Pay As You Go

  • Ground Instruction: $60/Hour

  • Flight Instruction: $60/Hour

  • Chief Flight Instructors: $70/Hour

  • C-172 or PA-28: $160/Hour

  • C-172RG: $200/Hour
