Certified Instrument Flight Instructor

With a Instrument Instructor (CFI-I) rating, you can teach students ‘cloud flying’.

$135/hour plane rental, $60/hour ground/flight instruction
Learn at your own pace! There are no time restrictions for completion and you can purchase supplies as you need them.

Instrument Flight Instructor Course - Package
$3,500
The course must be completed within 30 days and includes everything you need to obtain your Instrument Instructor Rating.

Course Details:

This is an add-on rating to your Certified Flight Instructor Certificate.

21 hours Ground Instruction

10 hours Flight Instruction

12 hours Airplane Rental in Cessna 172

Written Exam Fee ($150.00 paid to the testing center)

Oral and Practical Exam Fee ($600.00 paid to the Examiner)

Supplies:

As needed and not included: Syllabus, Workbook, Instrument Flying Handbook, Aviation Weather, Aviation Weather Services, Low En-route Chart, Approach Charts, and Oral Exam Guide.
